Alison has taught about food not only in schools to GCSE and A Level standard but also in pre schools, community groups and for the National Federation of Women's Institutes.

Alison has set up food sessions in every age range from ante natal groups to Under 5s to Over 70s groups.
Alison has written articles for the EDP where she had a fortnightly food page. She has worked for Somerfield Magazine, and created recipes for G's Marketing at Ely for their website and veg boxes. Alison worked for the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire Museum Service researching and producing historical recipes cards. Alison has written recipes alongside other authors for National Trust cookery books.
Alison has worked on many television programmes on the BBC, on ITV and Sky. Alison has talked live on many radio stations about food topics and carried out fortnightly food phone ins on Radio Cambridgeshire.
Alison has worked on stage at many food shows including the BBC Good Food Show with Gordon Ramsay Professional and at the Ely Food Festival with Brian Turner, Aldo Zilli and Rosemary Shrager.
Alison has worked running restaurants, cooking and managing service for 35 years.
Seven years ago Alison set up the pop up restaurant in Octavia Hill Birthplace House.

In addition top class dinners have taken place with Brian Turner and Cyrus Todiwala where 100 guests pay for a ticket and pupils cook alongside the chefs, whilst their peers ran the out front service.
